Of Primaries and Watermelons

More watermelon please. I must prepare for Georgia's July 15th Primary erection.

Lawyers v Teachers

So lawyer interns get more pay and perquisites than teacher interns. Hmmm, repair pays better than construction!

MSM to the rescue

Just when I complained about the shallowness of mainstream media news, a Tulsa TV station offers this: "Man, Woman In Bestiality Case Arrested."

Has it been this long?

Re: General Clark's answer to the CBS interviewer.

Qualifications -- Who cares?

Either Bush stays (martial law) or McCain gets it -- something always comes up!

Let's compare with
Former Vietnam Navy Pilots. I've known two, one with 99 missions, 33 over North Vietnam, the other with more. Decent guys no political ambitions. Neither was shot down or captured.

With Naval Academy grads in politics, there's former Pres. Carter. Never captured; no combat for subs.

With other former combat pilots in politics -- mixed readings -- George McGovern (bomber pilot WWII). If he mentioned his service in 1972, I didn't hear it.
Duke Cunningham, alleged role model for the movie "Top Gun." Cunningham won't be available for the Presidency for a while. He's doing time.

Qualifications -- Who cares? He'll carry my suburban Georgia precinct.
